Vetoo

Review effort

The five effort levels, what each one costs, and how the org default and per-repo overrides work.

Review effort sets how much work Vetoo puts into a review, and therefore what the review costs in credits. The review mode is a separate setting. The review mode sets how far Vetoo takes a review after it reads the change.

The five levels

LevelApproximate cost per review
LOW100 credits
MEDIUM250 credits
HIGH500 credits
EXTRA600 credits
ULTRA1,500 credits

A higher level produces a more thorough review of higher quality. A review therefore spends more credits as the level rises.

A new workspace uses MEDIUM.

Default and overrides

The workspace default sits at the top of the Repositories page. Each repository also has its own slider in its expanded row.

To change the workspace default, you need an admin or owner role. To override the level on one repository, you need a member role or above.

Cost and your balance

Vetoo checks your account balance first and starts a review only when it covers the set level's figure. A workspace on ULTRA needs more credits than one on LOW. See Plans and credits.

An @vetoo-review reply needs 100 credits at every level. Conversations therefore continue after reviews stop.

A BYOK plan runs every review at one fixed effort level. Vetoo locks the workspace control and the per-repository controls, and these reviews spend no credits. See Bring your own key.

A change to the effort level takes effect on the next review. A review already running keeps the level it started with.
